Ok, so my younger sister is a teacher at a Christian school in central MS but God has been tugging on her heart for a while now to go overseas and teach. She went for a couple interviews last week and got a job teaching in Africa. I can't even spell the name of the country she's going to but its supposed to be one of the safest.....we hope. She had a 2 year commitment and will get to come home for Christmas.
I am really excited for her and even a little jealous....but at the same time I am really gonna miss her. The rest of our family is not so thrilled. When they think of Africa, they think of wars, querilla warriors, famine, poverty, lions, and intestinal parasites. And yes that is a part of Africa but I want to emphasize that if God sends you, He'll take care of you! So quit freaking out, mom, dad, and granny!
Anyway, please keep her in your prayers and remeber that in His will you can't go wrong.
